Tapping Block for cork flooring

A tapping block, which is normally a piece of “off-cut” or a sample block is used as a buffer between the RUBBER mallet and the piece being installed. This tapping block will receive the blow from the mallet. It prevents any damage to the edges of your floor. cork_floor It takes quite a bit of force to get all the pieces to snap together, especially the “short ends”. The other trick is that you must “angle in” the tongue piece at a 30-40 degree angle to the floor. While tapping the piece into place, a down ward pressure has to occur at the same time. The click together joints are shaped like a fish hook. They need to be snapped “down and in” at the same time.
